Guilty as charged. How many times have we a
s women sat gazing out of the window daydreaming. We are waiting and hoping that our Mr. Right? We're waiting for our Knight in shining armor. I’m sure most of us have at some point in our lives. This piece is for all of us who are waiting for that perfect someone, who for the moment only exists in our hearts and in our dreams.

The time shall come
when I will view the
boldness of his face,
and I will be overjoyed.
I will greet him
with a smile
and a warm gentle
kiss.
I will then say to him
“Come, sit and enjoy
the fruits of my harvest."
And I will love
the stranger
that sits at my table,
the stranger
that warms my nights.
and
ignites my heart.
I will love this stranger
that breathes life into my
soul.
Joyce Oscar is originally from Memphis , Tennessee she now resides in Atlanta Georgia. She loves all forms of music from Country to Jazz. Her repertoire includes poetry, fiction, essays and songs. Her outlook on life translates into her writing. She states, " I believe that poetry is the measured language of emotion. It bears witness to our lives and what we have experienced. It is a celebration of language in its most illustrious, enchanting, and intense form. Poetry has an inimitable power to re-create the human experiences like falling in love, losing love, facing death and disease, losing faith and courage, and finding God. Poems transform the everyday into a creative journey through our imaginations."

I set waiting for more with this poem. It was like it was not finished. It was to good to be finished. I think this is the problem with relationships. We believe that the beginning of a relationship is like the poem in our mind, but after the dream is gone and the real them is there ........, no one tell us about that in a poem. We need to know that too, so that a real relationship can last. Ps. Put in a poem so that we can handle the truth. TG

You'e correct in a sense, in life I think relationships are never finished. Relationships always start off like a dream, a fantasy, but it's up to each individual to keep those dreams and fantasies alive so that our love for each other, like this poem, is never FINISHED.

I think it pretty good but I would add more. I especially like the introduction of the poem which is why I think a little more should be added to give it a complete ending. Will there be any stories or books coming? I would like to read/rate those as well.

Dear Pretty Phyllis, there will be many more poems, stories, and articles to come. I'll keep you posted. As far as the piece having more of a complete ending, well, when it comes to relationships everyone has a different ending and some have no ending at all. This one seems incomplete because when I wrote this, I'm dreaming of a love that has no ending. I'm dreaming of one that lasts forever.

It starts out great and I was looking for more to read. To me this felt like a tease. In new relationships people normally send a representative and not show who they really are. How long will the stranger be treated this way? As we all know life happens and it's not full of roses everyday. In a dream is where a person would find the perfect stranger, relationship and or life because no one is perfect. But it is great to dream about having that person in your life. I would like to read more.

Dear Animal, I know this seemed like a TEASE, and I guess that maybe it was meant to be that way. I think that the representative that is sent forth in a new relationship should always be one that is true. We all know that we shouldn't start something that we can't finish. I guess that's why dreams are so wonderful because we can have anything and anyone that we choose. Keep a watchful eye, I'll bring you more to read.

I liked the poem. I think that the length of the poem is indicative of a new, blossoming relationship. In the beginning of a true romance, the focus is not on the end, but on the moment that the two of you are living at that time. You feel alive, sensual, and vulnerable all at the same time. Seldom is one pessimistic or skeptical of their new love in the beginning, especially if that person is representative of their

I love the title. In reading it, I was looking for more details about this "stranger", I guess more passion and more mystery about him. All in all, I liked it. It brought back pictures of my "Perfect Stranger"...

Nate, the details about this stranger only exist in the reader's dream. I wanted you to envision your own "perfect stranger". Judging from your comments I see that it did it's job since it brought back memories of your own "PERFECT STRANGER" BLESSINGS

It is what it is...a poem. A poem doesn't always tell a complete story but leaves room for imagination and thought. Describing the stranger anymore would have taken away from the title....The Perfect Stranger! Good Job!

I liked the poem a lot. It like a "hanger" that comes at the end of the last episode of a show at the end of the season. It leaves to the imagination what is to follow. Each one of us can write our own ending to the poem. Good job!

I like the poem. It is short and sweet. It leaves the reader with an expectation that great things are going to happen. Keep writing the good stuff.
